Design Frontiers announced today at SAP UK's InnovationX event, its return to Somerset House in September 2019 as part of London Design Festival.
The exhibition, in partnership with SAP, will tell 20 stories of sustainable projects, products and initiatives, from companies on the frontiers of design thinking. These stories - many of which have not been told before - will come together to set a benchmark for addressing key sustainability challenges.
The stories will be expressed through an exhibition produced in a dedicated space within the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court, River Terrace, East Wing Galleries and Terrace Rooms at Somerset House, from Monday 16 - Sunday 22 September 2019. Design Frontiers will welcome 20,000 visitors, including key figures from the design and the creative industries.
Ben Evans, Director, London Design Festival said: “Design and sustainability are key drivers for any 21st century business. Design Frontiers is the platform to tell innovative stories that show companies forward thinking and market relevance.”
Jens Amail, Managing Director, SAP UK & Ireland, said: “We are looking forward to creating an amazing event with London Design Festival; to showcase real co-innovation with our customers and demonstrate the absolute necessity for brands to become more sustainable today. We integrate the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals within our own higher purpose - to help the world run better and improve people’s lives - and this collaboration will play a key role in that vision. It will be a truly memorable occasion."
InnovationX is SAP UKI's flagship event, featuring powerful stories and extraordinary hands on displays of life-changing innovation.
Design Frontiers promises to be a must-see exhibition for the public, offering an immersive and interactive experience – a highlight of the London design calendar. The exhibition is free to attend.
